An Carn approached me looking for a website build for their onsite self-catering cottages. After a brief design guide going by the specific requests of the client, we created a simplistic site with lots of white space and heavy use of available professional images.

The goal here was to advertise what the remote village & surrounding area has to offer all while forcing the user journey to ultimately end in a successful booking.

Performance was key here as their previous site was struggling with page speed & optimisation. Adding image crops and reducing the amount of scripts loading was crucial to this project. Minifying SCSS & JS along with using auto-prefixers, and optimisers to best enhance the site was achieved using Gulp.js as the task manager/toolkit
